Currently, when a referred customer (Referral B) decides to register as an affiliate themselves, they become a new affiliate without an automatically assigned upline. If the Multi-Level Marketing (MLM) structure is in place, the original referring affiliate (Affiliate A) must manually add them to their downline or the new affiliate (B) must manually enter their sponsor's ID. This creates unnecessary friction, increases manual work, and can lead to lost downline members/commissions if the manual step is missed. Use Case Example Affiliate A shares a link. Referral B buys a product using b.smith@email.com . The system logs A as the referrer. Later, Referral B signs up as an affiliate using the same email, b.smith@email.com . Automatic Action: The system immediately places the new Affiliate B into Affiliate A's downline.
